What Is the Procedure for Getting a CBCT Scan?

The procedure for getting a CBCT scan is similar to that of getting an X-ray. You'll be seated in front of the CBCT machine, and we may ask you to bite down on a small plastic device to ensure your jaws remain in the correct position. The machine arm circles your head and captures 360-degree images of your mouth and jaw.

What Do the Images Show?

We'll receive very detailed information about your teeth and jaw, which will enable us to provide the best diagnosis possible. Occasionally, we may consult with a dental radiologist to better interpret the results. Typically, we'll learn the following:
