Su Jung Kang, DDS

Dr. Su Jung Kang is a compassionate general dentist that believes in a patient-centered approach to dental care. She focuses on overall health and its maintenance, the priority when mapping out a thorough treatment plan to provide a better quality of care. She creates an atmosphere of open communication, taking the opportunity to not only get to know her patients, but encouraging them to get to know her as well.

Dr. Kang attended Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, Blacksburg, VA, earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry. She continued her education at Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond, VA, where she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.

Dr. Kang has participated in Mission of Mercy (MOM) projects in coordination with the Virginia Dental Association and dental student volunteers. MOM provides much needed dental care to underserved areas of Virginia where there are not enough dental practitioners to adequately address the oral health needs of the community.

Dr. Kang is a member of the American Dental Association. She is fluent in both English and Korean, which is her first language.

Dr. Kang enjoys spending time at home with her lovely cat Hodu (which is Korean for “walnut"), watching movies, and playing video games with her fiancé.
